Shoe Fest Help Needed

Donations & Volunteers Needed!
Helping Hands of St. Louis 5th Annual Shoe Fest—Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018
Helping Hands of St. Louis, a ministry of Catholic Charities Diocese of Toledo, seeks donations of NEW shoes and socks, toddler size 10 up to youth size 8, and school supplies, to start their new school year off on the right foot! Needed school supplies include: paper, pencils, pens, markers, crayons, glue sticks, dry erase markers and backpacks.
Donations can be dropped off at the 2nd floor Helping Hands Office, 443 Sixth St., Toledo, OH, preferably by Thurs., Aug. 2 for sorting, though they will be gratefully received through Fri., Aug. 10. Please clearly mark donations are for the Shoe Fest. Churches, service groups and businesses interested in donating items are asked to please contact Sue Shrewsbery, Director of Helping Hands of St. Louis, at 419.691.0613, ext. 2; email sshrewsbery@toledodiocese.org.
Volunteers are needed to set up the event on Fri., Aug. 10, from 1-3 p.m., and during the Shoe Fest on Sat., Aug. 11, from 7:30 a.m. – Noon. This is a great youth ministry opportunity for middle school and high school kids and families to serve together. We need volunteers to wash feet, change water, handout shoes, socks and school supplies, run the games and help with registration. Contact Byron Wynn, Catholic Charities Volunteer Coordinator, at 419.214.4950 or bwynn@toledodiocese.org.
Come and be a part of this exciting and rewarding event! When we give the children a new pair of shoes, we wash their feet and tell them Jesus loves them. The smiles of the children and parents
bless all of the volunteers.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and support of Catholic Charities ministries!
