Parish Campaign Letter

Since its humble beginning in 1924, Most Blessed Sacrament Parish has been a beacon of light and hope throughout West Toledo. God’s providence has been evident over these many years, so as good stewards, it is our responsibility to take care of the gifts we have been given.

Together with the Finance and Pastoral Councils, I have carefully reviewed the results of our parish survey, the needs of our faith community and our parish campus. These needs have as their backdrop the long standing debt of the parish which significantly reduces our ability to enhance ministry and care for our campus. All aspects of parish life and the condition of our campus buildings were taken into consideration to determine the best course of action moving forward. Through much discussion and consultation-including input from you, our parish family, we have decided to take the next step to continuing our parish legacy and move forward with a major campaign.

The “Our Light…Our Hope” campaign will raise funds to address the 2.7 million-dollar debt, thus freeing up some of the funds used each month on debt service to address a number of projects relating to our church building, education ministry, parish center and campus grounds. Bringing these plans to fruition will directly impact and enhance the effectiveness of our ministries.

This campaign presents a serious and important challenge. We realize that we will need the support of all members in our parish family. Working together as one Body in Christ, we will ensure that our legacy of service to our Lord, one another and the wider community will endure for generations to come.

I am confident that through our prayers, sacrifice, and faithfulness, God, who has begun this good work in us, will guide our efforts to a successful completion.

In the Most Blessed Sacrament,

Rev. Msgr. Michael R. Billian, VF

Pastor
