The Pastoral Council supports the pastor in prayerfully considering the life, mission, and pastoral needs of Most Blessed Sacrament Parish. Members help listen to the hopes, concerns, and experiences of the parish community while offering wisdom, perspective, and discernment for the good of the parish.
The council serves as a trusted advisory body to the pastor. Through prayerful conversation and thoughtful counsel, the Pastoral Council helps reflect on parish priorities, strengthen parish life, and encourage the mission of the Church in our local community.
What Does the Pastoral Council Do?
The Pastoral Council offers counsel and insight on the pastoral life of the parish. Its work includes prayerful conversation about parish needs, evangelization, worship, faith formation, service, community life, communication, and long term planning.
Pastoral Council members help keep the larger mission of the parish in view. Their role is to listen, discern, advise, and support the spiritual and pastoral direction of the parish so that Most Blessed Sacrament may continue helping people grow closer to Jesus Christ and His Church.
Serving on Pastoral Council
Serving on Pastoral Council is a meaningful way to love and support the parish. Members have the opportunity to listen deeply, think prayerfully, offer their gifts, and help strengthen the life of the parish community.
This ministry is especially valuable for those who care about the future of the parish, desire to serve with humility, and are willing to work collaboratively for the good of the whole community.
