Students in grades 6-8 attend classes with a teacher that specializes in one of the core subjects. The core subjects are Religion, English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Students also participate in physical education, music, Spanish, and art classes. Students have six classes a day plus lunch and homeroom.
Each core subject’s curriculum follows the Diocese of Toledo Courses of Study, which are very similar to the State of Ohio Standards. These teachers have students for four years and can monitor student progress and growth. Teachers have the ability to differentiate instructions so that all students can make growth gains.
