We want to share with the Parish a fantastic opportunity to provide a scholarship to Blessed Sacrament School with no additional cost to you through a dollar-for-dollar tax credit. As Ohioans, we are eligible to donate any amount up to $750.00 (or $1,500.00 for those who are married filing jointly) to a Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) that in turn will provide an immediate tax credit to be used on your 2025 tax return.

The Diocese of Toledo Scholarship Fund was created as the official SGO for our diocesan Catholic schools. See the QR code below or go to www.dotsgo.org. By clicking “Donate” you can choose to donate on-line or mail a check. You can then select Blessed Sacrament, Toledo. School families will then submit applications to receive a scholarship from the SGO. Please know that 100% of the donations received will be awarded in the form of scholarships to cover the difference between Ed Choice vouchers and the tuition (which is higher), and any donation designated in our school’s name will go directly to benefit students in our school!
In 2025 we awarded sixteen students a scholarship just from the donations we received from the SGO donations.
As an example, if your Ohio taxes total $150, you can donate $150 on the SGO website and apply that donation to your 2025 tax return. Your tax liability to Ohio will go down to $0.00 and you will be reimbursed for the amount already paid. Or if you donate $300 you will get a $150 refund from the State of Ohio on your tax return. Also, you can make that SGO donation as late as April 15, 2026, and still have it apply to your 2025 Tax Return! Be sure to consult your tax advisor on your specific situation and remember to claim the credit when you file your taxes. Additionally, you can make a donation to the SGO by April 15, 2026, and it will still count towards your 2025 tax return.
